Delivering cargo is a task that is usually completed through either planes, ships, trains, or trucks. What if there was an even more efficient process though? That is where the Chinese military comes into place. The Chinese military just recently tested an unmanned transport plane to deliver cargo and it was a success. Not only will this technique be a faster and more effective process, but it will also not put anyone’s life in danger.

Typically, dropping cargos can be an extremely dangerous task because it is generally done within the range of hostile anti-aircraft fire. So if the plane is unmanned, then nobody’s life will be put threatened or put in danger. Thus, making this unmanned aircraft very useful when it comes time to use it in a legitimate combat environment.

The cargo delivery that was tested featured an unmanned single-engine biplane weighing in at about 500 kilograms. The distance of the flight that was conducted was just around 500kms, which realistically is very impressive for an unmanned aircraft.

The Chinese military then sought to try to have an even larger unmanned aircraft deliver cargo in the circumstance of there being a real battle. The routes that transport planes generally take are never too intricate; so once the unmanned aircraft becomes even more developed, cargo can be delivered at an even higher rate in just a single drop. This new cargo delivery method seems to be revolutionary, according to economictimes.indiatimes.com.
