Watch: A Truck to Make Even Tanks Jealous

If you’re having trouble getting to work through the rough terrain outside your house, or if you just want a truck that can go pretty much anywhere – the Russians have a surprise for you.

Russia’s SHERP ATV can climb over obstacles at tall as 70 cm, traverse water with little issue, turn almost on the spot (just like a tank), and you could have this cool-looking piece of road-tech for as little as $49,000 worth of Rubles, TruckYeah! reports.

The 1,300 kg SHERP is the brain-child of inventor Alexei Garagashyan. It sports a 44.3 horsepower 1.5 litre Kubota V1505 four-cylinder diesel engine and a five-speed manual transmission. It can easily do 46.5 km/h on land or nearly 6 km/h in water.

With its giant, custom, self-inflating tires and skid-steer, the SHERP can turn in its own length – 3.3 m. At 2.5 m wide it might look tough to navigate, but trust us, if there’s a gap – the SHERP can squeeze through it.

To preserve this impressive machine, it’s coated with a tough polymer. It comes with a 58 litre tank as standard, but if you splurge some, you can have yours come with anything from a light bar, to a trailer, to a high-power generator.

It might not be as cool as Putin riding a bear, but this truck proves that Russia still has some great things to offer to the world.
