Rugged Mobile Phone Provides Antimicrobial Protection

Research shows that our phones are home to thousands of germs. A new mobile phone device provides a secure alternative. 

Believing that technology should be waterproof, drop, dust and scratch proof as a bare minimum, UK-based Bullitt Group has recently launched the first fully antimicrobial mobile phone – the CAT S42 designed for the construction, emergency services, outdoor professionals sectors.

Every exterior component of the entry-level Android device, including the Corning Gorilla Glass 5s screen, has been treated with Biomaster antimicrobial technology.

The technology inhibits the growth of microbes on the phone’s surface for the lifetime of the unit, according to the company. 

The device can also be thoroughly washed with soap and water, sanitizers etc. without damage.

The company is a maker of military-grade smartphones and the global licensee for CAT phones.
