A collaboration between two companies will provide secure drone flight in vulnerable locations under potential ground and airborne threats, whether intended or accidental. The new solutions combine Fortem Technologies’ SkyDome software and TrueView radar to detect, track, categorize and assess threats, with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) ProLiant DL20 Gen10 servers. The solution works in private secured networks or in protected cloud settings.

The two companies have recently signed an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement to deliver an industry-first custom package of drone solutions to integrate with any drone platform for public infrastructure, venues and cities requiring advanced security and data processing to protect against ground and airborne threats, according to uasvision.com.

SkyDome detects all airborne objects day and night within a protected airspace, and discerns between threats and non-threats. It can recover quickly from incidents with a simple user interface for configuration and real-time mobile alerts, accessing complete airspace history, according to the company website.

TrueView provides early warning of intrusive or non-cooperative drones. It is a family of cost-effective and efficient (compact) military-tested radars, optimized for both air-to-air manned and unmanned aerial vehicles and for ground-to-air applications.

They are small, compact, and powerful, and include AI-enabled detection and classification to provide a complete view of local airspace, detecting all drone activity. The system provides real-time intelligence for both aircraft operators and ground-to-air detection and monitoring.

The collaborative solution “provides total environmental awareness through airspace digitization, along with a powerful data solution that gives customers an unprecedented ability to understand what is in their environment and whether it poses a threat,” said Timothy Bean, CEO of Fortem Technologies.
