The HomeLand security market, which includes maritime, aerial and land borders security, as well as national infrastructure defense, transportation security and defense from cyber attacks, is said to grow at a rate of 19% each year by the year 2020, so claims a report by the consultancy Frost & Sullivan.

The company further states in the report that it foresees the growth based on a number of factors who are the main consumers of products having to do with securing areas with a large amount of people, among them FIFA 2022, which is, for now, due to take place in Qatar, as well as the building of the massive airport terminal in Abu Dhabi, forecast to handle 30 million people every year. Events that attract a large audience, such as the Soccer World Cup, are clients in need of a huge amount of HomeLand Security products – surveillance cameras, advanved policing systems, emergency and rescue technology and more. Events such as this by themselves demand a huge investment of $700 billion by the year 2020.

In order to cope as best as possible with the expected large demand due to these projects, Abu Dhabi is hosting the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR) next March. According to estimations, the exhibition will draw more than 5,000 companies from 45 different countries. The exhibition is also expected to host more than 20,000 people from over 90 countries.
