The Dubai police force has recently entered a partnership with drone technology developer, DJI, to deploy and test their drone technology to assist public safety professionals.

This is the first time that DJI has partnered with a police agency in the United Arab Emirates. As part of the agreement, DJI will support the Dubai Police by deploying new drone technologies, as well as aid with training and maintenance support in order to increase Dubai’s safety and security.

“We are pleased to partner with Dubai Police to help them take advantage of DJI’s industry-leading drone technology,” said Christina Zhang, the company’s senior director of corporate strategy. “This partnership gives Dubai Police access to DJI’s newest drone technology.”

Commercialdroneprofessional.com mentions that under the agreement, the company will grant Dubai Police with custom access to the company’s hardware and software solutions. This includes the company’s drones, flight simulator software for pilot training, and DJI’s FlightHub, a software used for drone management and mission planning.

The company will also supply Dubai Police with their AeroScope technology, used to aid in the identification of unauthorized drone activity.
