MICROSOFT DISASTER MOBILE CONNECTIVITY APPLICATION

During time of crisis, telephone lines are sometimes disconnected and it is difficult to reach each other. To solve this critical problem, Microsoft created the HelpBridge mobile application. This mobile application enables us to connect with each other in times of crisis and emergency.

Microsoft provides mobile application for connectivity during disaster times. The HelpBridge mobile application simplifies the process of notifying family and friends by simultaneously sending an e-mail and SMS to the communities that are pre-selected and posting a message to your Facebook account wall.

In addition, GPS coordinates can be included in the message and recipients will know where their love one is and the circumstances surrounding him.

In addition, the HelpBridge application enables civilians to connect with some of the world’s leading disaster relief organizations and trough  them to help the people that need this help – text-to-give donations, larger contributions via PayPal, goods donations and show different ways for volunteer work in support of disaster relief.
