Schneider Electric Acquired AST Modular

Schneider Electric, specializing in energy management, announced the acquisition of the Spanish AST Modular. The Barcelona-based AST Modular offers a wide variety of container-based data centers, resistant and ruggedized for a variety of uses. The company specializes in producing and supporting advanced data center project engineering.

AST Modular successfully completed more than 450 data center projects in over 30 countries, and is considered a well-known container-based data center manufacturer. It offers specialized containers, containers with multiple modules and modular data center rooms, in addition to a wide variety of customizable cooling solutions for unique IT spaces.

Doron Krofman, Director of Schneider Electric’s APC Israel, said that AST Modular’s capabilities and experience complement APC’s strategy: Offering container-based data center solutions and meeting customer demands in this expanding market.
