The PF-9 – THE NEW BREED OF 9 MM HANDGUNS

The PF-9 is a semi-automatic, chambered for the 9mm Luger cartridge. It has been developed from a previous models, the  P-11 and P-3AT. The main idea was to achieve  maximum concealability.

The PF-9, manufactured by Kel Tec, has a single stack magazine holding 7 rounds. It is one of the lightest and flattest 9 mm ever made. Firing mechanism is Double-Action Only with an automatic hammer block safety.

The PF-9 retains the best features from our P-11 and P-3AT pistols combined into the flattest and lightest single stack 9mm configuration ever made.

The rear sight is a new design and is adjustable with an Allen wrench as well as for elevation with the use of shims.

For those who think that the 9 mm round is not enough for self defense, experts say that this round’s potential was boosted by new-component technology in the last decade.

After years in which the .45 ACP round seemed to rule , the experts say that the high-performance 9mm loads of today are different enough from what was available in the 1960s and 1970s as to almost make them seem like an entirely different species.

So the new PF-9 is considered now a weapon that can serve for self defense as primary weapon and not just back up.

We are sure that the debate among the professionals will continue about the stopping power but is seems that this debate will never end.
