VMware announces launching of a public cloud – vCloud Hybrid Service™

The service extends the activity of existing data centers to the public cloud in an effective, safe and fast way.

CEO of the global VMware, Pat Gelsinger, who will arrive to Israel on the 9.6, unveiled today the vCloud® Hybrid Service™, infrastructure as a Service in the cloud (IaaS), based on the vSphere® solution of VMware. This strategic solution is a platform for the customers, extending their existing data center to a cloud in a smooth and effective way.

The new service of VMware extends the software capabilities of VMware to the public cloud and enables the customers to use the same tools, data security models and organizational data network in and out of the work environment. The fast way to the cloud using vCloud® Hybrid Service™ supports thousands of applications and over 90 operating systems acting over vSphere of VMware, in order to extend in a secured manner the second and/or thirs layer of the data centers to the new service. Building the service on top of vSphere enables automatic duplication, monitoring and high availability for critical business applications, and a simplified access to management enabling the customer use of the same familiar tools and processes for management.
