“Due to the accelerating threat of cyber crime, private investment in Israeli defensive and other cyber technologies has reached US$6 billion in value this year, triple the figure for 2020, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said today at the opening of the INNOTECH 2021 international conference and exhibition on cyber, HLS and innovation at Expo Tel Aviv.

Orit Farkash Hacohen, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology who also gave a keynote address said the amount invested led Israeli high-tech “to an all-time high. Many of the achievements are due to Israeli cyber, which in many ways built the high-tech and reputation of the industry. In 2013 there was only one unicorn company in Israel, in 2021 there are already over 70.”
