Segman joined the sales team for RDT components back in 2000 which was acquired by Avnet International at the end of that year. During his time with the company he became one of the leading sales managers in the electronics industry in Israel.

In recent years he is also marketing director for the firm and deals with conferences and exhibitions, accessing potential clients and integrating professional materials providing the infrastructure for Avnet Components’ sales team. In addition he deals with business development, adding new activity guides, cooperations and acquisitions and mergers.

Avnet Components Israel has set, along with its devoted team of employees, standards of the highest level in the field of service and sales and managed to break again this year a sales record, surpassing $120 million in the components business, proving once again that it is one of the largest global distribution companies in Israel.

“Avnet Israel, with a team of around 30 chip designers and support personnel for components, is today at the technological forefront of the field of active components for the Hi-Tech industry in Israel,” said Koren in an interview. Even before his announcement, one could tell that Segman is set for success, when at that same interview Koren said: “With a new generation of talented VPs such as Tal Segman (…) we have put together a professional team which includes today around a hundred sales, operational and technical marketing personnel.”

Avnet Components Israel is a sales and marketing company and so it is only natural that Segman will continue to lead it forward for many years to come.
