Emergency National Logistic Response

Institute for National Security Studies Conference Center, Ramat-Aviv

The Military and Strategic Program at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) will host a symposium in cooperation with the Technology and Logistics Division of the IDF. The Symposium will address the national logistics capabilities and interfaces between the economy and the army. The purpose of the symposium is to deepen the understanding of exposure and the public and decision maker’s understanding of the tension between civil needs and those of the military and security authorities in emergency.

The symposium will include the following lectures:

  • The overall national perception and legitimacy in nationalizing the  national resources;
  • National Fuel Market in an emergency;
  • National medical response and interfaces with the IDF;
  • The transportation at emergency;
  • Emergency competition for national resources – between citizen requirement to a security requirement;
  • The “Market Confinement” concept;
  • The national logistical chain and interfaces with the IDF;
  • The “Home Front” and National Infrastructure Preparedness for dealing with a wide missile attack;

Adjacent to the symposium, there will be an exhibition of relevant industries.

The symposium will feature the head of the IDF technology logistics division and senior commanders. Senior government officials and relevant experts will speak at the Symposium.
