Today is the memorial day for Israel’s fallen.

According to data from the ministry of defense, the number of fallen since 1860 to today is 23,447. Since the last memorial day, 68 more were added to the count, and 59 IDF disabled who died as result of their disability, were recognized as IDF fallen. 16,307 is the number of bereaved families, among which are some ten thousand bereaved parents, about five thousand widows, and 1,948 orphans up to the age of 30.

iHLS mourns with the families and wishes the entire people of Israel happy independence day.

Let us hope that with the capabilities of the IDF and security system, the number of casualties in wars, operations and terror attacks will decrease by the next independence day.

The threats to Israel will not vanish, but with our security system, aided by innovative technologies, Israel could protect itself better, and with it – all of us.

We join in remebering the fallen and wish all of our readers a happy independence day with much hope for the future.
