The global workforce is undergoing a seismic shift. Driven by the rise of AI and the normalization of remote work, the job landscape has transformed dramatically. According to the World Economic Forum, 90 million jobs will disappear worldwide while 170 million new ones will emerge (mostly AI-based jobs). This rapid, massive change leaves companies struggling to keep up with hiring demands. Traditional recruitment methods—slow, subjective, and resource-intensive—are no longer enough. Meanwhile, HR teams drown in résumés, top candidates slip away, and the costs of mis-hires can reach $50,000 per employee. To address these challenges, innovative initiatives, supported by iHLS’s INNOFENSE program that leverages advanced technologies, must work toward streamlining talent acquisition and protecting organizational resilience.
Enter Iverse. This Israeli startup has built EVA, a digital interviewer powered by advanced AI that can identify top talent quickly and with unprecedented accuracy. In a single 15–30 minute recorded interview, EVA evaluates a candidate’s functional, cognitive, and interpersonal abilities at a level comparable to professional occupational psychologists. Using decades of proprietary data—over 50 years of accumulated insights—the system reaches a Pearson correlation of 0.89 between the system and the human expert.
EVA simulates expert-level interviews at scale, enabling organizations to assess thousands of candidates in parallel without compromising on quality. Unlike static CV screening, the AI focuses on real capabilities: cognitive skills, interpersonal characteristics, performance abilities, and cultural fit. This precision gives companies the confidence to hire quickly while minimizing human bias and error.
But EVA is more than a faster interviewer—it’s a strategic advantage. Its five key strengths are what set it apart:
- Bigger reach, higher accuracy: Allows companies to expand their talent pool globally, focusing on only the top-most candidates.
- Unmatched cost efficiency: Cuts hiring costs by 52% by streamlining workflows and eliminating inefficiencies.
- Speed and precision: Reduces hiring time by 75% while maintaining expert-level accuracy.
- Fairness and consistency: Removes subjective bias and delivers structured, reliable evaluations.
- Enhanced candidate experience: A single short interview unlocks tailored job opportunities—no lengthy tasks or multiple steps.
The platform offers two business models: a high-quality and speedy diagnosis as an enterprise solution for large organizations—including defense institutions—designed to assess and match candidates to specific roles with extreme accuracy. The second is a global matching platform that connects skilled candidates from regions like India, Africa, and Europe to top opportunities worldwide.
Behind this innovation is a powerhouse team. CEO Shira Spetter, an experienced entrepreneur who grew up in the Orthodox Jewish sector, has been named one of the 40 Most Promising Young People in Israel (by Globes) and believes in breaking cultural barriers, holds advanced degrees in computer science and big data. She leads the company alongside co-founders COO Zohar Maimon, a seasoned HR entrepreneur, a leader in the field of HR and owner of Pilat Group, and Prof. Oded Maimon, world-renowned expert in data mining, artificial intelligence and robotics. They are joined by industry heavyweights such as Jay Abraham, and a multidisciplinary team of psychologists and various technologists.
Iverse’s unique position is bolstered by strategic backing: two patents, three grants from the Israel Innovation Authority, selection for two Google for Startups’ accelerator (both in Israel and Europe), a partnership with Pilat Group, Israel’s top HR group for more than 50 years, with a database of 2 million candidates and 10,000 served companies, and more.
In a world where 89% of companies admit their hiring process is too slow and 76% of HR time is wasted on irrelevant applications, Iverse is changing the rules of the game. By combining precision psychology with the scale of AI, it offers organizations a fair, fast, and cost-effective way to build the workforce of the future.
Iverse is a graduate of the INNOFENSE Innovation Center operated by iHLS in collaboration with IMoD. This unique acceleration program removes entrance barriers to the technological ecosystem, turning startups into mature, leading companies while connecting them with relevant investors, which is designed to strengthen the links between the civilian and defense markets via the collaborative development of the technologies, thus advancing and improving their integration in both markets.
