The deal has been signed. Israel’s threats that “all options are on the table” are nothing but hot air. There’s now a new reality which Israel has had its fair share in making.

Now it’s time for unusual action, and I’m not talking about sending armed fighter jets to Iran.

What would have happened if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the leaders of Iran through the United States that he’s coming over to Tehran for conversations face to face? He would have been greeted with respect and ask the Iranians – What do you have against us? We have no common border, we’ve never fought before.

This might sound like a crazy idea at first, but in the corner Israel is at today, when the whole world is tired of Jerusalem crying over anything and everything, something unusual must be done.

Do our leaders have the qualities needed for such an act? I highly doubt it.

Israel doesn’t need enemies from outside. As the IDF is opening an investigation against officers protecting themselves from lethal stones in the West Bank and shooting targets in Gaza from where missiles were launched, it still maintains that there’s no Intifada.

All this is when stabbing attack keep occurring. Molotov bottles are also still being thrown, as does the shooting which is sometimes deadly.

This is how you de-motivate soldiers to even protect themselves. From air-conditioned rooms in the Military Advocacy it’s very easy to decide on opening such investigations.

Out in the field there is a hard, painful and deadly reality.

This isn’t retrospective wisdom. Israel has taken care of the Iranian nuclear issue as if it purchased the book “International Book of Mistakes” and read religiously page after page.

At first it seemed that every morning we’ll be hearing of Air Force jets making their way to Iran loaded with bombs. Then a new intimidation campaign has begun, as if tomorrow Iran is throwing its nuclear bomb on Israel. Then, in the end, Israel has spat in the face of the American government.

Sense had no part in any of these steps. The world is tired of Israel telling it what to do.

There’s one claim Obama made that even Benyamin Netanyahu can’t answer to – he hasn’t offered up to this moment an alternative solution. He also didn’t really intend to try and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.

That is not strategy. It’s foolishness trying to mask itself with pretty words.
