The Israeli Air Force (IAF) will use the BNET software defined radio (SDR) system developed by Rafael as its main communication system on existing and future platforms.
The BNET system replaces existing radio systems installed in aircraft. According to the Israeli company, while half in size it offers a very broad communications channel for data.
According to Rafael, the SDR system optimizes spectrum utilization, while the use of advanced waveforms delivers high speed networking, supporting live video, image transfer, voice and data.
