Fast Draw – Israel’s West Bank Operation

The current operation in the west bank proved that Israel was lulled by the effect of the so called peace talks. The hamas was not: It got ready for war, instead.

The tunnels, the weapons systems, all the preparations were made while Israeli politicians drank tea with Palestinians in suits in different European capitals. This was a big mistake. This misled many Israelis into thinking that the west bank is under the control of its elected goverenement. That was another illusion. This goverenement has no power or value.

This goverenement is a joke and that is understood now even by the most romantic Israelis, that believe in world peace and peace with our neighbors. It was only a daydream. Recent events were a stinging slap across the face for many israelis that thought peace with the palstinains was just around the corner.
