Egozi’s Fury – Lebanese tunnels

18315594_m egozi featureIsraeli settlements along the border with Lebanon have almost given up. They even made recordings of the digging sounds right under their homes, but even this did not convince anyone in the IDF that Hezbollah is digging tunnels.

So let me tell you. The Hezbollah is digging tunnels. Very rapidly. Just like the IDF did not know how many assault tunnels there were in the Gaza Strip, they also do not have a clue as to what’s going on right under its nose along Israel’s northern border. Ego issues? Lack of means? No, just being stubborn. It would take an incident before they would actually believe those living right on the border with Lebanon.

An army which pulls its own soldiers out of settlements along the border with Gaza, won’t believe their digging tunnels right under the border with Lebanon either.

This idiocy, that the whole world announces that the Israeli Air Force attacked a convoy within Syrian territory, but we in Israel must rely on “foreign sources”.

Someone in Israel is playing some silly children’s game…

What other term can I use to describe this stupidity. This demand that Israeli news organization rely on “foreign sources” also pertains to other cases where it was obviously an ’Israeli job’. Only that we are not permitted to acknowledge this.

Who are we kidding – except for ourselves?

This is not a way country to be reckoned with should conduct itself. Israel is run by people who think everyone else, outside Israel, is dumb.

The terrorist who perpetrated the multi stabbings on the bus in Tel Aviv only last week, had no problem coming in from the West Bank. The security fence, which is supposed to prevent such incursions, barely exists.

There is an entire industry of illegal workers being smuggled into Israel. The IDF know about it, as does Israel’s ministry of defense. Yet, they are doing nothing.

So what’s going on here?

So here it is. In this case, they just do not want to handle the problem. In the case of the fence along Israel’s border with Egypt, they did decide to solve the issue, albeit very belatedly. Nevertheless, this border is currently sealed off.

West of Judea and Samaria there is practically no fence. We have seen terrorists traverse the no existing border, and we shall see more of them. The fence is far from dense. Powers that be – are.

I blame the government. They know better, but they turn a blind eye intentionally, for irrelevant reasons, primarily because they are simply unwilling to solve the problem.

If you want to bring in workers from the Palestinian territories into Israel, then kindly put a fence up and let it only those who pass the screening process. Nowadays, it’s like a sieve.

The next stabbing will be on your heads, you weakling decision makers. You are hardly doing your job.

Outgoing US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel voiced his anger at the ingratitude displayed by Iraq’s prime minister, as the latter claimed the US was not helping his nation cope with ISIS. At the same time, Secretary Hagel championed the 60-member coalition led by the US against this murderous organization.

Had such a coalition really been operating full speed ahead, ISIS would have already been on the run. What we do have now, is mostly public relations. They are putting on airs with a few bombing sorties per day. This is no way to defeat an organization which is a global menace.

Speaking of American aid to Iraq, why complicate matters? You had better send the weapons from the US directly to ISIS, rather than to Iraq’s weak army. After all, ISIS will lay their hands on this equipment soon enough.
