Shift in the Electronic Components Market

Change of command at the management of Avnet Israel, the leading electronic components distributor in Israel and globally. Tal Segman, the company’s Deputy CEO, was appointed as the CEO instead of Dani Koren, who led the company from its inception and worked there for 42 years. The nomination will come into force in July 2017.

During the last two years, Segman served as the company’s Deputy CEO, and during this period he has accomplished outstanding achievements for the company.

This year, the company’s activities have been expanded significantly. During this climax year which yielded the record sales of $140M, it was decided to appoint Segman as the company’s CEO in Koren’s place.

The recent expansion includes the quality products of the leading manufacturers: Xilinx, Linear Technology, Texas Instruments, Micron, NXP, On semi, MARVELL, TE, Microchip, ST, and RENESAS.

Tal Segman has been active in the Israeli industry for some 17 years and is one of the leading sales managers in the Israeli electronics industry. Two years ago, he was appointed Avnet’s Deputy CEO.

Dani Koren has been considered one of the leading experts in the Israeli market, renown and evaluated for his vast knowledge in the electronics realm, from the technological and business aspects.
