When the whole world is using the cloud, it comes as little surprise that even the most secured sectors will end up using it too. Israeli RISCO group, a global leader in developing and manufacturing technological security solutions, has expanded its products’ ability of alerting intrusions in homes and businesses by connecting them to the cloud. Recently, RISCO has transferred its cloud services to Microsoft’s platform, Azure. This move puts RISCO as the only company in Israel today that offers cloud-based security solutions.Furthermore, the move opens the path for the whole security market which, despite concerns, understands that in this field as well, solutions must be adjusted to the digital age as a way of growth for new services and applications that are offered by cloud technology.

This was the subject of the conference that was held this week at the Microsoft house in Ra’anana. This conference is a first of its kind in the field of security, and was a host to security professionals that came to hear how cloud technology can make their lives easier as well as help them increase their income substantially. Microsoft experts, headed by VP Development Technologies, Ruthy Kaidar, and Strategic innovation lead, Adir Ron, presented the subject of the cloud generally and security information of cloud technology particularly. Manager of RISCO Israel, Kobi Zohar, presented the use of the RISCO’s cloud platform for smart house applications and Amazia Keidar, Director of Global Marketing at RISCO, talked about the company’s cloud as a revenue growth engine.

Prior to the conference, Hemy Fintzy, Executive Assistant to Chairman & VP Human Resources at RISCO, said: “Cloud computerization is the hottest thing in the IT market for some years now, no one even raises an eyebrow when all sorts of organizations, businesses and private people are moving their important information for servers for the cloud. However, the security systems market always plays it safe, so every change in the rules of the game calls for the use of solely proven technologies, such that have already gained experience and success. After the whole market moves to the cloud, it is the physical security field’s turn, since technological reality is stronger than any other consideration.”

“Every few years something comes along that completely changes the rules of the game and the cloud is just that,” said Amazia Keidar. “The cloud today is used as a platform and that is where the world is headed. The cloud is the next big thing to change the rules of the game in the field of security but along with that, it can be used as a platform to increase revenue from clients. The smart house, with its hundreds of opportunities, is just one example of it. The cloud helps increase revenue as it gives a competitive edge. The platform helps to run new business models. Even if the client decides they don’t want the smart house options at the moment, RISCO’s security system allows to add it in the future.” Keidar also pointed out the advantage for installation and system management companies: “The cloud offers a platform to run the business. It is possible, for example, to view all the installations in a map, with the clients’ names and area of residence. It also help to manage the team. Using the system connected to the cloud, it is possible to do a remote analysis of the system and in some cases, re-define the parameters without having to reach the client’s house – which lowers costs.”

The system unveiled in the conference its ProSYS Plus system – a product which creates a new standard in the security system. The system offer security response for every secured area – from the smallest house to the largest business, and allows to use all of RISCO’s technologies in one system.
