In an interview with Sharly Ben Chetrit, given shortly after AUS&R 2015, executive vice president marketing at IAI dicusses IAI’s position in the unmanned world.
IAI is working on unmanned systems – not only airborne, but seaborn and on the ground.
The growing market of unmanned aerial vehicles, which is now host to countries such as Poland and China, might make it seem as if IAI has some competition, but in fact, says Ben Chetrit, the newcomers are usually on a seperate technology field, with small UAVs and lower capabilities.
Finally, Ben Chetrir mentions the export limitations, how the company copes with them and the great support received by the Ministry of Defense.
