Hamas is taking a beating but if there is a cease-fire in this situation we can immediately begin the countdown towards the next round. You better believe the next round will be more elaborate with even more sophisticated Hamas rockets.

Some commentators remind us of the Goldstone report. Who remembers this report that has been long ago forgotten?

There’s no doubt that the operation should be completed in its entirety now, so that Hamas does not have the ability, time or desire to rearm their rockets.

The Air Force says openly that it could win the war alone. The Air Force knows what it’s talking about. It  says what many have said for a long time – let the Air Force do the dirty work and do not endanger soldiers in ground operations. The Prime Minister hesitated and deliberated before setting a ground operation in motion and he knows why.

There is a lot more work the Air Force can do to bring Hamas begging for a ceasefire before you set boots on the ground. You just have to let it do its job the way it knows how. Israel’s target bank has not only dwindled during the operation but it’s been updated too. Our intelligence adds new targets on the spot and it gives the Air Force an opportunity to continue to do the excellent job it’s doing.

It is no secret the level of suffering that is going on in Gaza. But the Palestinians who live there should have removed the dark government ages ago. This so called government is bringing the suffering on them.

They live in unbearable conditions because of this gang of crazies. What is a shame is that the majority did not do what they did elsewhere in the world – rise up. Only once the Hamas regime in Gaza is uprooted can the Palestinians begin the process of reconstruction of the small area in which they live.
If they do not do this then they should not cry to the tune that their Gaza is being bombed. Only they can change their fate. Otherwise they will remain in the landfill that is Gaza, as long as Hamas have their say on the people’s lives. The fighting will cease sooner or later and they will continue to bemoan the fate of Gaza but they will not be able to blame the Israeli Air Force.

I heard last week from a group of gentleman wit impressive qualifications like engineering degrees that argues that the “Iron Dome” is an illusion, a fraud and is in fact inefficient. This man is one of a group of delusional people that has been claiming for years that the system cannot intercept rockets. You hear the words they say yet it’s hard to believe that people with degrees in engineering and other fields talk such nonsense.

Each of these individuals is driven by frustration. Usually it is related to the fact that they were involved with coming up with other ways to intercept rockets. One of the most notable of which is the use of laser weapons. This is an excellent solution, but it is currently on paper. Even if you did choose to run with this system, you’d be looking at it being operational by 2025. So instead of saying “we were wrong” Some of these people continue to vilify, to tell us that the system is not worth anything. This when at the same time you’re hearing it intercepting rockets fired from Gaza.
