IDF’s Tech Unit Unveils its Contribution during Operation Guardian of the Walls

IDF’s technological innovation is based on unique development units. Since its inception 18 years ago, the Lotem Unit at the IDF C4I and Cyber Defense Directorate has become a technological powerhouse developing advanced platforms and systems which enhance IDF’s effectiveness.

During Operation Guardian of the Walls, Lotem’s innovations enabled the digital operational processes in the fields of fire, launching, digital situation evaluation and more, contributing to time reduction in operational processes while considerably saving resources.

According to Lotem’s commander, Brig. Gen. Omer Dagan, “During Operation Guardian of the Walls, we fought for the availability of our platforms and systems, operated efficiently, developing and upgrading systems in real-time, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and extreme agility to enable the IDF more lethality.”

This week, Lotem has unveiled its new military pin, symbolizing the IDF and the comprehensive solutions provided by the unit, alongside technology, digital, information and innovation, reflecting the digital acceleration process led by Lotem and the C4I and Cyber Defense Directorate as a whole, according to IDF Spokesperson’s announcement.
