“As we come closer to the dates of the attack we see more cyber attacks against Israeli websites, with more databases leaked,” This according to Haim Levi of the Aman Group. “We’ve already identified hackers claiming to have attacked Israeli routers and modems, saying that thousands of stolen e-mail addresses are about to be leaked online. On April 7 there should be increased use – and interest in – amplification attacks, including NTP. We’ve already identified one person asking to receive training in using this method during the operations.”

Experts continue to track findings in social media. According to Levi hackers plan, in both cases, to use RAT, SQLi, defacement, DDoS and phishing attacks. Experts have identified organized groups across the Muslim world preparing for the cyber operation.

According to estimations the March 10 attack is relatively low-risk, as there seems to be a low number of participants. The campaign began on February 9 under the name OpIsrael 3.0, with the opening of an official Twitter page (inactive for more than two weeks) and the publication of a list of targets. Targets included more than 1,300 websites – government, banking, security establishment, academic sites, media organizations and more. A few days later a Facebook page for the event popped up, although as of today only 100 users are participating.

On April 7, however, the attacks are expected to be more dangerous as thousands of users are set to participate. The date itself is the day of the previous attack last year, with the attack getting the name OpIsrael Birthday. 400 users participate in the event’s Facebook page, opened by the hacker group AnonGhost, joining thousands of others who signed up in other Facebook pages. In addition, an Iranian hacker group called Parastoo announced it will take part in the operation. The group is set to begin attacking Israeli targets as soon as April 4.
