CEO Shai Blitzblau told iHLS that company branches in Europe benefit from the Israeli experts’ operational experience. According to him the number of global cyber attacks is in slow decline since 2012, thanks to the rise in quality of information security products and newly developed detection and deterrence capabilities.

Even so, Maglan is recruiting 20 elite cyber experts after already recruiting 10 last year, focusing on hacking, cyber intelligence and consulting. Applicants who pass the strict screening process will participate in a months-long training course. The company employs 55 people so far in its local and European branches.

CEO Shai Blitzblau: “Customers, Israeli or global, have realized that business success depends on computer and cyber systems, leading to growing investments in cyber security and conducting threat surveys. Organizations have a broader outlook today compared to previous years, in light of the rise in global cyber-attacks. One more thing – more and more governments are interested in consulting services, planning information security and blocking cyber attacks. The rise in demand means there’s a shortage of high quality cyber experts around the world. Israel, in that regard, is a world leader.”

The company receives research funds focusing on practical research in information security systems and cyber warfare. This means controlled attacks, detecting network vulnerabilities in order to better protect them.”
