Radwin announced that its wireless broadband systems were deployed by the City of Nefteyugansk in Siberia, Russia for a major Safe City project. The RADWIN 5000 point-to-multipoint systems were chosen to provide real-time video transmission from high-definition video cameras installed throughout the city back to a central command center. Teleincom and ROILCOM, leading system integration firms in Russia, were in charge of project design and implementation.

The City of Nefteyugansk’s top priority is ensuring public safety and maximizing security in strategic locations, including areas where cable infrastructure is not available. The city sought a solution that would operate in high interference and severely cold weather and deliver a high capacity connection and guaranteed bandwidth per each surveillance site.

Alexey V. Antonov, Technical Director, ROILCOM: “We evaluated a number of solutions for this project. Only RADWIN 5000 met the city’s exacting requirements for high capacity, dedicated bandwidth per camera site and non-stop performance even in the most extreme temperatures. The cost-effective price and extremely fast installation times were major added benefits.”

The wireless Point-to-Multipoint communication system delivers up to 250 Mbps and dedicated bandwidth per site, operating in challenging environments and extreme weather conditions.
