Edgar Maimon, CEO if Elisra, said that along with the growth in worldwide use of unmanned air systems, there is a growing demand for development of survivability capabilities for these platforms, that will defend the mission and the platforms themselves, with the variety of unique and precious systems they are bearing. Maimon added that the new defense system will contribute also to the intelligence collection capabilities of the UAV, thanks to the various sensors comprising it. He noted, that the system, as well as other Elisra systems intended for UAVs, complement other activities taking place in Elbit Systems in this area, enabling to offer customers a generic suit of solutions answering the needs of the survivability and intelligence layer.
