Are flying cars an idea that merely lives in science fiction? It is possible that we might still see this fictional idea come into life. As part of a one of a kind project, the first flying taxis will be enacted during the 2024 Olympic Games in France. These taxis will indeed be used to carry passengers. This project is supervised by the official transport network of Paris and the general assembly of France for commercial flight.

The project began in 2019 and since then the Pontoise airport in ile-de-France has been selected as the chosen location for real condition tests of future flying taxis. The progress of these technologies can be clearly seen and so is the readiness of the industry to such technologies.

According to reports by Maariv.co.il, a series of trial tests will begin several months prior to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. If the trials will be successful, this service will allow airline companies to develop similar lines during 2028-2030. Many industry companies and experts are involved with the project, among them the airplane manufacturer Airbus, a known Chinese drone manufacturer and more.
