UAVs have become a more prevalent risk in recent years, which has led to new radar systems being acquired by the US military.

Under an agreement between U.S. forces and U.S. technology company Echodyne, U.S. forces received this week the first shipment of advanced radar systems for surveillance and security purposes. The surveillance program is part of a larger U.S. military surveillance effort aimed at preventing future threats.

US forces will be able to enhance their ground and air security capabilities with this new radar system, states thedefensepost.com. The system is a crucial security solution that has high performance capabilities and is able to scan vast areas and deter air-to-ground threats.

In addition to providing 4D data, this system equipped with Meta-Materials Technology (MESA) can identify whether approaching objects are humans, machines, boats, or drones.
