Gambit, a robotic unmanned aerial vehicle powered by a jet engine, is the latest drone launch from General Atomics, an American company that specializes in the product and development of security systems.

Gambit uses digital engineering techniques to create an autonomous collaborative platform capable of providing pilots with insight into hostile airspace, detecting threats, and sharing data during combat to formulate decisions and carry out field operations.

With this platform, unmanned aerial vehicles can work in collaboration with manned aircraft to locate, identify, and mark adversaries. Using artificial intelligence and autonomous capabilities, complex tasks like tracking and sensing targets will also be possible.

According to shephardmedia.com, the new system was developed by the US Air Force as part of the MUM-T program and the OBSS program, both of which aim to bring about new interfaces for unmanned personnel. With this technology, humans will be able to make better decisions when working with robots and unmanned systems.
