Orbiter 2

Aeronautics, the Israeli unmanned air systems (UAS) manufacturer, is about to supply the second batch of its Orbiter 2 B to the Finnish army.

In 2012 the Finnish ministry of defense has selected the Aeronautics Defence Systems Orbiter 2 B unmanned air system (UAS) for its operational needs.

The contract includes 55 systems with 250 mini UAS .The 23-million Euro contract includes four batches, the second of which is the supply process.

The acquisition is aimed at giving the Finnish armed forces surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance capabilities.

The orbiter-2 B has a 1 meter long fuselage and a 3 meters wing span. Its endurance is 4 hours. Max TOW is 10.3 kg and it can carry a 1.5 kg payload.
