Fast Draw – international hypocrisy

Spain sold Israel some unimportant items that are available on the international market. The five million Euros this added to the country’s crumbling economy might have helped, a little. Israel is certainly not going to feel this so-called “ban”.

The British ban is also a bad joke, as Britain is constantly acquiring Israeli-made systems. The Watchkeeper UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), used by her majesty’s artillery corps, is based on an Israeli UAV designed by Elbit systems.

The rest of the items Britain sold Israel can be purchased from other countries, but these countries and others want to look good for the Muslim world that’s gradually taking over. They announce bans on weapon sales to Israel while actually depending on Israeli systems.

Global hypocrisy reached unprecedented levels. Haven’t you wondered why the U.S. accepts the anti-Israeli and antisemitic policies of Turkey? It turns out that Turkey is about to acquire an $11 billion missile defense system. Turkey, meanwhile, a member of NATO, is in negotiations with Chinese companies.

So the U.S. has a forgiving attitude towards Ankara in order to boost the chances of U.S. companies getting these mega-contracts. It’s all about interests, wrapped in endless hypocrisy.

The world demands that Israel go to extremes to avoid harming noncombatants. Every day hundreds of people die in Syria and Iraq, and nothing – no headlines, no demands. Strange? Not really, if you realize how cynical and uncaring the world is. Israel has to take this into account.
