Elsight provides Megan David Adom (MDA) Video solutions for the Emergency Arena Management Vehicle

Established in 1930, Magen David Adom (MDA) is Israel’s national emergency first aid service. MDA currently maintains more than 110 stations & dispatch points all over the country. From these stations more than 1,200 emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency physicians and 10,000 volunteers operate as well as more than 300 standard ambulances, 150 Mobile Intensive Care Units, and 200 lifesaving vehicles that serve remote communities.

Magen David Adom’s objectives are to maintain and improve Israel’s national first aid services and to be an auxiliary service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) medical services in time of war and to prepare for this in time of peace. MDA also cooperates deeply with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

In 2009, ElSight started to supply video solutions that were specifically tailored to their needs. All 11 operational regions are in the process of deploying a dedicated Emergency Arena Management Vehicle (EAMV) equipped a with full motion video camera that transmits the live video feed over the cellular & satellite network in real time to MDA central operations and regional branches.

Decisions are made by the operations leaders and the video feed are shared with the field and other regional offices of MDA, using a proprietary mission critical video conference system, provided also by ElSight.

Magen David Adom (MDA) will shortly implement the first Mobile C&C vehicle that will enable their management to be closer to the field whilst retaining video communications with their own regions and multiple first responders.

ElSight have also supplied the ELS Scout solution to another Israeli Emergency Medical Services. This solution enables paramedics to share full motion video with professional physician in the Professional Advice & Guidance Center, when visiting residential clients on a daily basis for medical treatment. This solution is used for telemedicine enabling them to conduct a remote consultancy over the cellular network within 30 seconds with the relevant senior physician. The ElSight Scout solution also synchronizes heartbeat and breathing information with a clear & reliable video feed of the patient.
