Turkey’s attack drone successfully fired a new laser-guided missile in a recent trial. A laser-guided bomb (LGB) is a guided bomb that uses semi-active laser guidance to strike a designated target with greater accuracy than an unguided bomb. For Turkey, this achievement is yet another milestone in the integration process of domestically manufactured ammunition, particularly integration into UAVs, according to dailysabah.com.

During the test, The Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) took off, flew at an average altitude of 9.1 kilometers, and struck a floating target laser-marked by another drone flying below cloud level.  Marking it the most advanced and sophisticated drone built by the country.
