An achievement for Israeli technology: Tiger by Lynx TFG, which allows any mobile device to stream video in real-time to a personal control center, won Best New Product in the 2016 New Product Showcase at ISC West from the Security Industry Association (SIA).

The app has won the judges choice award out of dozens of solutions in the prestigious convention of the SIA held on the weekend in Las Vegas.

Tiger app, developed by Lynx, turns any cellphone into a portable IP camera, thus allowing video and sound based streaming from a large number of mobile cameras of users in the field to the control and command center. The broadcast is received in the center, where the controller can watch up to a hundred live broadcast simultaneously as well as their location in the field. This way the military, security, rescue, and medical services can make more informed decisions based on the situational picture of the scene. The broadcasts received can also be recorded and documented, thus allowing to investigate the event and daw conclusions for emergencies and terror attacks.

The system offers advanced options allowing to cope with network quality and changing environmental conditions such as adjusting the video quality according to bandwidth, connecting external cameras such as helmet cameras, automatic rotation of the picture, and more.

The system interfaces with existing video and network systems in the client’s site, allowing for fast set-up in a matter of hours.

Defense and HLS (Homeland Security) technologies allow security services to provide a fast, smart, and efficient response to the public in daily and emergency situations, and so they search constantly for new developments to provide just that. Those technologies can come from the fields of security, but not just. Technological solutions in various areas in the commercial and private sectors can be transformed for the fields of defense and HLS and provide a solution its creators never even thought of. That is precisely what the i-HLS accelerator is trying to achieve, to bring both technologies meant for security, as well as those whose creators never thought of them as such, but could provide important solutions for the national defense. The accelerator will provide entrepreneurs working in it the guidance, counselling, and direction needed to achieve such accomplishments.
