Israel Military Industries (IMI) has presented at an exhibition for the homefront command for HLS an armored playhouse meant for settlements in conflict areas. This unique structure was developed in order to allow everyday life to be as normal as possible.

The playhouse is installed on a shielded structure developed by IMI which includes slides and ladders. The shielded structure is integrated as part of the playhouse itself, and is built from materials developed based on knowledge and experience IMI as accumulated developing and producing warheads and shield systems, including those of public buildings and school in settlements in the Gaza envelope.

IMI has also developed armored security stations to protect security staff and the civilian population in entrances to the towns, to factories, and to public buildings. This uniques structure is meant to protect security officers and the public in settlements in conflict zones in the south and north of the country. The structure’s development became urgent following the lessons produced in operation Protective Edge and to answer such defense needs. The security stations is protected against a variety of threats including a direct hit by a Grad rocket. The station is fit to be quickly assembled in entrances to complexes, in order to allow operational continuity during states of emergency. The structure was upgraded following the lessons learned from operation Protective Edge, lead by HLS directorate in IMI, designed to help settlements, factories and public institutions that must or wish to remain operational for school or work even during states of emergency.
