Dr. Noa Agmon, a researcher at BIU, talked to I-HLS shortly after AUS&R 2015 on the role of robots in the future battlefield.
Dr. Agmon researches the influence of adversarial forces on robots, a relatively new field, and claims that robots are completely capable to replacing humans in the battlefield, although regulations have to be created by people first. Robots will be given every tool needed for the battlefield, but it is up to man to decide what tools will be used, although there is still a long way to go yet – hardware and software wise.
Israel is one of the leading countries in A.I., says Dr. Agmon, and is playing a major role in the intelligent robotics global community.
