Russia and Iran vs. the U.S. and the World

Russia and Iran are united in making the impression that they’ve lost any basic rational, even in the twisted world of politics. These two countries that wholeheartedly support the regime that is performing a massacre in Syria have warned of “catastrophic consequences” for Syria and regions in the Middle East if military intervention is taken in response to alleged chemical attacks last week.
While these two countries keep spitting in the world’s face the U.S. is edging at a snail’s pace towards an attack that will hit different targets in Syria.
The Russians and the Iranians don’t let these facts confuse them. In spite of solid evidence that the Assad regime used chemical weapons these two countries act as if the bad guys in this sad episode are the U. S. and its ally, Israel.
This is no surprise. The weakness demonstrated by the U.S. has spurred Moscow into this position and the rest of the choir.
The current, pressing question now is what type of military action will the U.S. take. It seems to be a very hard, and painful task to explain to the world that the use of chemical weapons against citizens is not acceptable even in this cynical world.
