Following the immense success of the previous cycles and their integration into the defense sector, iHLS invites you to join the sixth cycle of INNOFENSE. iHLS and the Ministry of Defense invite you to a one-of-a-kind journey into the deepest reaches of the defense sector, a remarkable opportunity to showcase your technology solutions and demonstrate your ability to handle the complex and urgent challenges the state of Israel faces every day.
The Israel Ministry of Defense, the Engineering and Construction Branch, DDR&D (Directorate of Defense Research and Development), the IDF air and ground arms, the Digital Transformation Administration, Computer Service Directorate, Field Medicine and Manpower Administrations, Technological and Logistics Directorate, Department of Engineering and Construction, as well as the Intelligence Directorate, are invited to collaborate with iHLS in INNOFENSE – an innovation center for dual-use technological projects in the civilian and security sectors.
The program is designed to strengthen the links between the civilian and defense markets via the collaborative development of technologies, thus advancing and improving their integration in both markets.
iHLS’ business capabilities, knowledge, and experience in the security innovation ecosystem, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and DDR&D, will bring about the creation of a promising and unique innovation center that will yield far-reaching achievements for Israeli innovation.
iHLS will support the startups in business development, penetration into the defense and civil markets, networking, and investments. Every startup will receive significant support and advice from the best leading mentors in DDR&D, in addition to guidance and involvement of the defense arms in the project.
The startups selected by the committee, which will be comprised of seniors from the Ministry of Defense, DDR&D, and various branches of the IDF, will be recruited to a four-to-six-month pilot program, each receiving a grant of ₪200,000. Pilots deemed successful will advance to integrating themselves in the system while they keep their own ip.
If your startup applies to one of the following subjects, consider submitting your applications for INNOFENSE’s sixth cycle until July 10th:
- An innovative system that simulates animal navigation mechanisms in order to enable precise localization and navigation in a GNSS-denied environment.
- Processing layer for underwater topography using SAR for fast, cost-effective, and high-resolution mapping and analysis of underwater terrain
- Data integration using Generative AI: Combining verbal and quantitative data to generate practical insights
- A system for identifying personality anomalies for behavioral diagnostics
- Generator for dynamic games that measure diverse capabilities for evaluating fit for roles
- Automatic/Semi-Automatic folding of mini UAV parachutes
- Cognitive training for pilots and operators
- Contactless modular damping and shielding for portable electronic systems
- Space Domain Awareness capabilities – proximity alert for objects approaching satellites
- Methods to increase the data download rate from GEO satellites
- Sub-pixel tracking algorithm for low-SNR targets, suitable for implementation on basic sensors.
- Unique, inexpensive, and lightweight (swap-c) optronic ability to cover an extensive area (from the air and/or ground) continuously and at high resolution
- Utilization of construction debris as raw material for field deployable engineering applications in conflict zones/earthquake, or disaster sites
- Technologies for miniaturization and efficiency improvement of power electronics components (capacitors, inductors, voltage converters, current stabilizers, heat dissipation and removal, etc.)
- Applications for RF-Photonics technology in millimeter waves and terahertz frequencies (sources, receivers, signal processors, and more).
- Production of propellant materials available in urban areas
- Algorithms for processing GIS data on edge sensors for change detection and minimal data transmission backward.
- Improvement of existing drone performance (flying distance) using add-on components
- Insect use for military purposes
- Man-portable capability for absorbing toxic gases in enclosed environments.
- Air pocket detection technologies in collapsed structures for rapid search and rescue missions.
- Technologies for detecting organic materials using non-line-of-sight methods through concrete or soil types.
- 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) with mobile computing devices in a disconnected state (stand-alone)
- Techniques for spectral broadening control via coating or paint-based surface modification
- Quantum network management system
- Obfuscated code analysis in a mobile app
- Local analysis of audio files
- Continuous power supply to a tethered drone using a lightweight solution
- A system that feeds unique technical specifications (in the construction field) to the BIM model, enabling the generation of bills of quantities for execution.
