Hot air balloons lose height the minute the fire is out. These two hot air balloons did not have a real fire to take them up.

The manipulations that surround the alleged effects of the Israeli defense budget cuts and the alleged efforts to re ignite a peace process are two big hot air balloons that were up the air a few meters and then crashed.

Only naive or stupid people, can believe that there will be a real cut in the Israeli defense budget. It takes the same types to believe that there is a chance for peace with the Palestinians.

Reserve soldiers from four battalions who received call-up notices in the past two weeks will soon be notified that their duties have been canceled for the remainder of the year. No worry, they will be called at a later stage. Nothing really happens. The budget will be restored and no real saving will be made. This because none of the politicians really understands the numbers of this budget. They “eat ” slogans and they use them freely.

Another empty warning – The coming months will also see a significant reduction in reserve training. The priority in advanced training will be placed on the infantry and armored corps reserve forces that are expected to take part in a land maneuver during a future potential war. The rest of the reserves will undergo basic battle fitness training only.

Again this is a show with no real substance.

And the same happens with the Palestinians – people who know the bare facts without the political “Makeup” understand that there is a chance of ice in hell, for peace either with the Fatah or Hamas  the same “lady ” with a different dress”

“The liberation of Palestine comes with weapons, not with money,” Hamas’s armed wing Izzadin And the same Kassam Brigades said in a letter to the organization’s political bureau, urging for the continued alliance with Hezbollah and Iran, the London-based Al- Quds Al-Arabi newspaper reported on Tuesday.

In the letter to Hamas leader Khaled Mashal, the Kassam Brigades said the organization’s alliance with Hezbollah and Iran is more beneficial to the fight against Israel than the financial aid the organization is getting from Arab states, namely Qatar.

So hot air balloons serve the politicians for very short lived targets. The facts are totally different- no fire, no hot air, balloons crumpled on the ground.
