In today’s society, emerging technology is all around us. Our lives are impacted by technology in every way, from artificial intelligence to smart devices. At the same time, our world is becoming more vulnerable to cybercrime, identity theft and leaks of private data. With the help of advanced tools, hackers can break into networks and steal classified information. There are four main ways in which technology influences cyber security. Techreport.com explains how current technology increases information security risks. As everything is digitally stored in the cloud or on servers, there is a lot of information accessible only by password. Secondly, we have targeted phishing: with the increase in awareness of email phishing cases, phishing attempts have become more sophisticated, targeting employees of organizations and businesses.

Fourth, breach of social media privacy: social media that many of us use every day may violate our privacy, revealing us to future attacks. It is common for people to share a lot of personal information on social networks, which can be used to steal identities.
We are facing a growing number of cyber attacks, data breaches, phishing attacks, and botnets that threaten our digital infrastructure. We should therefore use familiar solutions as well as develop new ways to neutralize these effects, and ensure that all our data is safe.
