Egozi’s Fury – Those In Charge Should Be Thrown Out

Just like talking to a wall. Even after months of terrorism the breaches in the separating fence in the Jerusalem area were not closed. A television report revealed last week that giant breaches in the fence allow trespass for thousands of illegal aliens into Israeli territory every day.

This isn’t just stupidity, it’s a crime. Everybody knows and nothing is being done.

Only in a state which is run like the state of Israel, those in charge of this failure can get up in the morning and go to their jobs as if everything is fine. In a country run properly, they would been thrown out of office by now.

The thugs on the road are still running wild. We see them every morning on every road in Israel but the police is nowhere to be seen.

I don’t blame the police, whose budget has been cut. I blame those who are supposed be running the country’s affairs. It seems like the moment they’re appointed something in their logic goes astray.

Otherwise it is impossible to understand why a budget which will allow the traffic police to operate hundreds more of police cars hasn’t been approved ages ago. That is how traffic accidents are still taking a heavy price.

Had such a number of people died in acts of terrorism, the country would be in an uproar. But here this madness is simply accepted under the government’s helplessness.

It doesn’t sound very logical, but think for a moment: What in this country does sound logical lately?

A report on the pollution in the Haifa bay is completed and submitted, but its results has not been published. “The Epidemiology monitoring report for the Haifa bay area”, which links air pollution with sickness in Haifa and its surroundings, has been submitted last Thursday to the Ministry of health and the Ministry of environmental protection.

Both these offices would have been expected to publish the results right away but everything here is backwards. The decision was not to publish the results for the time being and to wait for the report to be analyzed by the accompanying scientific committee.

An analysis? The report was prepared by scientists who were chosen for that reason. So why analyze?

And so hundreds of thousands of residents in the Haifa bay area are forced to live in heavy pollution, next to a very dangerous tank of ammonia.

But the governmental offices are in no rush. They will examine, they will decide how and when to publish, and in the meantime – nothing.

On the issue of the soldier who shot the terrorist much has been said, most of it nonsense. Every politicians has used this incident to try and gain some kind of political fortune. Along the way, the honour of the IDF was stepped on, along with every other thing having to do with a proper investigation of such an incident.

I won’t go into the details, those will be investigated by the military police and will be discussed in a military court. But everything which was discussed surrounding the case shows how nothing in Israel today is a consensus. Not the IDF, not the law system, nothing.

But if it seemed as if our politicians have broken every record of disgustingness, they have proven us all wrong. Demonstrations in front of the military court discussing the case, offensive declarations against the minister of defense and the chief of staff. Everything goes when these lousy politicians want to win a bit more of what they perceive as public credit. The worse problem still is that a part of the people gives them such credit for the nonsense they say.
