In spite of the high level of automation in autonomous unmanned systems, and especially UAVs, the systems still need the human input in their operation.

CockpitRM specializes in training of managers and operational teams of UAV for improved teamwork skills, in order to enhance flight safety and operational efficiency.

Consultations and training are based on the method of CRM (Crew Resource Management) which started in the world of civil aviation in the early 1980’s after a series of fatal flight accidents in which the ‘human factor’ was the primary cause of the accident.

CRM skills are learned and practices in the method of Workshops, that include “Non Technical Skills” (NOTEC’s) training such as Interpersonal Communication, Decision Making, Leadership and Followership, Workload management, SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), Situational Awareness, Fatigue and Stress Management, TEM (Threat and error Management) and Automation.

CRM workshops led over the years to a significant change of conduct within flight crews and airline staff, and thus contributed to a significant improvement in flight safety and operational efficiency in worldwide commercial aviation.

CockpitRM was founded in 2011 and is led by Zachi Laor, an airline pilot with vast experience both as a Captain and as a CRM Instructor.  Zachi brought CRM training into Israeli Air Force’s squadrons in 2007, and led the field of CRM in the IAF headquarters during the years 2007-2010. Zachi serves today as a reserve pilot and a chief CRM Instructor in the IAF, delivering lectures and workshops in operational squadrons (both manned and unmanned), ATC units, Flight and UAV Academies and more.

CockpitRM team of instructors consists of Airmen, UAV Operators, Special Forces and Human Factor specialists’ personnel.
