U.S. Company to Assist Government with Cyber Security

Lockheed Martin has established a continuous diagnostics and mitigation laboratory where they will conduct workshops to help governments with cybersecurity. The laboratory in Gaithersburg, Md., was opened to support a Department of Homeland Security program. It demonstrates commercial cybersecurity products and company integration services and conducts associated workshops.

“Lockheed Martin’s new [Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation] lab makes tangible the many benefits of the company’s cyberdefense tools and will increase the speed and efficiency of government cybersecurity implementation,” said Greg Boison, director of Homeland and Cybersecurity for Lockheed.

The facility and workshops are open to federal, state and local government organizations. “Under continuous diagnostics and mitigation, advanced cyber security tools and services will ensure unclassified government networks will be constantly scanned for threats, defended from attacks and audited for performance”, company representatives added.
