Israeli company Roboteam expands its family of unmanned systems and operator controllers; an order for the new configuration of its MTGR (Micro Tactical Ground Robot) unit has already been received from a foreign customer.

Roboteam specializes in the design and manufacturing of ruggedized unmanned systems for defense, homeland security and public safety forces. Expanding its family of unmanned systems and operator controllers, the company will unveil its new configuration of the Micro Tactical Ground Robot – MTGR – designed for harsh field conditions, at AUSA 2013, Washington, D.C. Also on display will be Roboteam’s generic controllers, suited for any unmanned system.

The new configuration of the MTGR was specially developed for harsh field conditions. Designed for intelligence gathering (ISR), EOD missions, and public safety day-to-day activities, the MTGR is a 16-lb unmanned ground vehicle that is highly maneuverable and very light. Carried by an individual soldier, the MTGR climbs stairs, operates in rough terrain, transmits 360-degrees video in real time, uses a U.S. Military standard battery, and has a secured MANET Data Link.

Roboteam, founded in 2009, has created a range of robotic platforms with multiple payloads, designed for numerous operational missions: Intelligence and surveillance (ISR), handling explosives (EOD), border patrol missions, search & rescue, law enforcement, and HAZMAT handling. The company recently established its headquarters in the U.S.
