The forthcoming IoT 2017 Conference and Exhibition organized by iHLS will shed light on a lesser-known aspect of the Internet of Things: Security and defense.

IoT encompasses a vast array of connected smart devices from all sectors, from home appliances and cars, smart city monitoring equipment, through the industrial IoT to the military sphere – the infantry soldier’s wearable sensors at the battlefield and the devices deployed in the perimeter.

The unique conference, which addresses the professional community of the IoT ecosystem, serves as an opportunity to gather representatives from the military, security, law enforcement, first responders, as well as leading defense industries, companies, startups, investors, and more.

The latest updates and innovations in Israel and globally will be presented at the event which will be held on December 25th, 2017 at the Lago Conference Center in Rishon LeZion.

IDF representatives will present the challenges to the future infantry soldier in the IoT world. Applications in the security and homeland security will be discussed by UControl Wireless. A representative from OriginGPS will speak about the accelerated development process of a product in this field.

Cybersecurtiy at the IoT era will be the focus of the presentation of a senior scientist from the IAI cyber division.

A representative from mPrest will update about the Industrial IoT. The power sources required for the IoT network will be discussed by an expert from Tadiran.

In the urban sphere, the IoT in the smart city and the importance of data in new urban infrastructure will be presented by experts from Juniper Networks and ACiiST, while aspects of IoT in the public transportation will be the focus of the presentation by Eged.
