Raytheon is a major American defense contractor and manufacturer of weapons and military and commercial electronics. Raytheon is one of the leading military contractors and manufacturers in the world and the largest producer of guided missiles. Raytheon provides state-of-the-art electronics, mission systems integration, capabilities in C5I (command, control, communications, computing, cyber and intelligence), sensing, effects and mission support services.

Raytheon has now announced it will join iHLS for the world’s first defense startup accelerator, which includes support and representation in Israel to be part of the final selection of the chosen startups to receive a place in the program.

Supporting the iHLS accelerator reflects the productive ties between Raytheon and the Israeli defense industries. And indeed, Raytheon has a major presence in the Israeli defense industry. In recent years the U.S company has been involved with Rafael in the development of “David’ Sling” – a very advanced rocket interceptor. The company has only recently announced that it teamed with Israeli company Uvision to offer a small loitering weapon system for the U.S army.

Raytheon Company is deeply committed to global partnerships, providing solutions and services to valued customers in 80 countries, and building upon international relationships to best meet the national security and technology needs of nations around the world. Israeli innovation will surely bring added value to Raytheon’s aim of advancing technology to help make the world a safer place.

Raytheon will be joining international names such as Israeli Aerospace  Industries (IAI), Incubit – Elbit System’s technology incubator, and Verint, who will all be offering mentorship and guidance to the companies participating in the program.
