The committee that investigated the world trade center disaster warns: the real double danger threatening the U.S. through both terrorist attacks and cyber attacks “The internet is permeable and vulnerable world”.

Members of the commission of inquiry that investigated the World Trade Center disaster in New York (9/11) warn: a major terrorist attack against the United States could come from two sources: terrorist organizations like al -Qaeda and ISIS and also massive cyber attacks. According to Homeland Security News Wire, the Commission of Inquiry, which investigated the events of the WTC disaster led by Committee Chairman Tom Kean and Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton, released a new report warning against the dangerous threats of both a terrorist attack by Al -Qaeda and/or a cyber attack, and they urge the government to take energetic and determined steps to combat these threats.

Over the last nine months the committee members have reconvened, and have come to the conclusion that the government must pass on warnings of the likely dangers from another terrorist attack in order to raise prevention and counter measures. The Committee calls upon the President, Congress and legal authorities to tackle the new threats like the Syrian-Iraqi ISIS terrorist organization, and calls for Congress to grant preemptive powers to the Ministry of State Security (DHS).

The second part of the renewed report is devoted to the dangers of massive cyber attacks against the United States, and the Committee urges Congress to enact legislation to enable full cooperation between the public sector and the private sector in the arena of ​​network and cyber protection.

In recent months  anti counter experts warned that because of the increasing capabilities of terror groups mainly in Iraq and Syria there is a new threat on the U.S.

This, they say not only in the form of “basic terror” like explosives and small arms bur also in a form of sabotaging critical infrastructure using cyber terror tools.

“Many mercenaries in recent month took part in these extreme Islamic terror groups, mainly from the EU and the US brought with them knowledge that can be the basis for those threats” said an American expert in a report that recently released.
