swarms – until recently, this seemed like a scene from a science fiction movie, but not anymore. The cause is the proliferation of small unmanned aerial vehicles ( ) and operational needs.
Not many armed forces can afford to purchase the big that can carry multi sensor payloads to satisfy the needs of different ground and air forces simultaneously.
The swarm technology has been advancing, and while until recently there was doubt about the operational concept, now it seems to have disappeared.
swarms are groups of that work together to accomplish goals, communicating with each other and assisting other members of the swarm in tasks.
When the operational demands are being backed by advanced technology, manufacturers are more confident to offer the performance of missions with two or more s that work together.
The Israeli industry wishes to take advantage of that technology that enables the operational cooperation of several .And there is a commercial potential connected with that technology.
Things are moving fast in the world. The pace is set by the needs. Armed forces think differently about and they want to take full advantage of their capabilities.
So s are beginning to operate in groups or rather in swarms, that may include one type of carrying different payloads or different types of s with a variety of payloads.
The swarms are here, big time.
